Course Title: The Gifts, Grace, and Flow of the Holy Spirit
Course Instructor: Jan Coverstone
I. Course Description:
 This course explores the spiritual gifts associated with the Baptism with
the Holy Spirit and the defense and biblical references for the Baptism
with the Holy Spirit.
 Jan shares his personal testimony and reasons to speak and pray in
tongues.
 He also takes a look at the fact that the Trinity gives gifts:
o Vocal- tongues, interpretation, prophesy;
o Revelation -discerning of spirits, word of knowledge, word of
wisdom
o Power -faith, gifts of healing, working of miracles).
 Students will learn and practice what it means to be led by the Spirit
supported by at least 20 references from the book of Acts.
 Students will understand the leading of the Spirit through dreams and
vision, as well as, the different types of dreams and visions.
 We will also explore the foundation for activating the gifts of the Spirit:
Love and how it underpins all of the gifts and their manifestation in
someone’s life.
II. Course Objectives: (What will the learner be able to do as a result of
taking this course in terms of Knowledge and Application)
 The student will learn the practical application of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit,
and how to use them.
 Fellowship and the separation of the Ekklesia from a religious institution or
the church.
 Have a good understanding of the spirituals and the practical application and
how to recognize reality (the truth of what is happening)

 The student will more freely operate in the gifts of the Spirit in their proper
application.
III. Course Outline:
This course will meet once each week for 2 hours -dependent on size of the class.
The course will have a lab that will allow the student to apply and practice the gifts
of the Holy Spirit and understand their appropriate application and how they can
continue to be filled with the Spirit in the operation of these gifts
Week 1: Personal Testimony and Defense for Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Chapters:
1 & 2)
Week 2: Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Reasons to pray in Tongues Chapter 3 & 4)
Week 3: The Trinity’s gifts: The Vocal Gifts (tongues, interpretation) (Chapters 5,
6, 7, 8)
Week 4: The Vocal Gifts (tongues, interpretation) (Chapters 6, 7, 8)
Week 5: The Vocal Gifts (prophesy) (Chapters 9 & 10)
Week 6: The Vocal Gifts (prophesy) (Chapter 9 & 10)
Week 7: The Revelation Gifts (discerning of spirits, word of knowledge, word of
wisdom) (Chapter 11)
Week 8: The Power Gifts (faith, gifts of healing, miracles) (Chapter 12)
Week 9: Being Led by the Spirit: Understanding Dreams and Visions (Chapters 13
&14)
Week 10: Love and Fellowship (Chapter 15 & 16)
Week 11: Lab & Fellowship (Chapter 17)
Week 12: Wrap-up and Commissioning

VI. Course Requirements:
Students are asked to respond and be willing to trust the lord for walking and
operating in all 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit
VII. Course completion: Student is expected to attend & participate in at least
95% of the classes and labs.
