CONFUSED

When thoughts become so overwhelming
There’s confusion
When I feel rejected or betrayed
There’s confusion
When answers don’t come right away
There’s confusion

Disturbing thoughts are clouded
By streams of confusion
These symptoms bring torment
Disrupting my troubled soul
Like currents in the ocean
Pulling me down and tossing me
To and fro adrift among the living
Yet shrouded in confusion
