Course Title:  The Gospel of the Kingdom of God

  1. Course Description: This course describes and helps the believer understand what is the: “The Gospel of the Kingdom of God” that it is not a single message about how to be saved, get to heaven, or overcome in life, but is rather a “frame” in which all of the plan of God for His creation, from fall to restoration, fits and is made visible. The learner will examine many of the measure events of Biblical History and gain an understanding how the Gospel of the Kingdom encompasses and make sense of these: equipping the believer to do the work of the ministry (edifying the body of Christ) and fight and win the spiritual battles waged against the Saints.

II. Course Objectives:  

  1. Demonstrate knowledge:
  2. Understand and discuss the major events of biblical history and how they reveal God’s sovereign plan for His creation (the good news about our Father, the Great King)
  3. Understand and discuss the eternal perspective of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and how it is supported by God’s omniscience (wisdom and knowledge) and the mystery of His wisdom that both reveals and conceals His knowledge to believers and spiritual powers.
  4. Understand and discuss major bible themes within the frame presented by the Gospel of the Kingdom of God
  5. Understand and discuss the spiritual nature of the believer and how our Loving Father’s intent is to dwell both in and with the believer.

 

  1. Application:

As a result of this course the believer will:

  1. Discern the correct interpretation of scripture in light of the frame presented by the Gospel of the Kingdom of God
  2. Proclaim the Word of God more clearly as he/she understands how the Father through Jesus Christ has restored the believer to a sonship relationship with the Father and how we are part of the Father’s Plan to bring all the enemies of Christ under His feet.
  3. Allow the Kingdom of God to be manifested in the lives of others by bringing the resources (power and authority) of the Kingdom to those in need

Week 1: The Beginning: Creation of Heaven and the Creation of Earth

VII. Course completion:

At the completion of this course the believer will be able to express how the Holy Spirit has guided them in their understanding of the Gospel of the Kingdom and how it has actively changed their perception of being a disciple of Christ and citizen of the Kingdom of God.
